City Hummingbird and Kitchen Window Curtain

Artist: Claudia Fitch

Date installed: 2023

Location: Lynnwood City Center Station

Claudia Fitch loves the sculptural forms of the things in our homes, neighborhoods and streets, and her two sculptures here are a reflection of that love. "City Hummingbird" honors the rich history of neon road signs that once lined Highway 99. Its companion, "Kitchen Window Curtain", acts as its backdrop, turning the whole plaza into an enormous backyard on a warm Northwest summer afternoon.
